New sh*t vol 3

Dansehallerne

“A programme of selected works that move us visually and intuitively. We may not fully understand them, but they speak deeply to us through the emotional subconscious.

These works touch upon something abstract, leading to different conclusions for different people. The three artists’ performances are semi-biographical pieces, emerging from a source of lived and created experience, transformed into visual and intuitive encounters that connect deeply with audiences.”

.Tender.Points. by Escarleth Pozo

“Their flesh was wet, soft, luminous”
“the carnality that exists before all interpretations…”

Reminiscing about those things that exist in the world before they are assigned meaning, they discovered the transformative relationship between materiality and meaning.

Inviting other materials and shapes to extend and inform the body's boundaries, objects help blur and layer/de-layer the body in order to distort what is projected upon it. Through the power of imagination, the layers of the body are positioned in surreal contexts, revealing their multiplicity.

Becoming, unbecoming, becoming, unbecoming, becoming.

Cold Hawaii by Sigrid Stigsdatter

So she retreats. She explores the vast emptiness, the territory of pleasure, and the realm of pause and silence that follows something breaking down.

Like a heartbreak that builds up only to collapse again, she creates a character that rises only to disappear. Through movement, sound, and words, she shifts between harsh reality and the soft worlds of her imagination.

SOLO(W)NG by Sanna Blennow

An ongoing solo project and continuous writing of Sanna’s autobiography, a conceptual book in which significant chapters—both those already lived and possible imagined futures—are translated into artistic expressions and performed in front of others.

SOLO(W)NG navigates through intuition in a sounding swamp, with a beak of ambition and wings of desire.

Sound: Lendl Barcelos, Clothes: Milan Florián Flíček, Photo: AdeY, Trailer: Andre Vicentini, Artistic support: Simone Gisela Weber.

P-Noise

P-NOiSE is a platform for challenging and emerging Filipino artists to showcase and express their vision, and aims to grasp this exciting and groundbreaking movement and bring it to Scandinavia. We also aim to display Filipino culture and identity in its broadest and most genuine form by supporting and recognizing the contemporary works of these artists.

As a founding member and Dance and Visual curator for the Collective, we encourage and support this creative and innovative contemporary dance, visual and performance art from the Philippines and have a cross connection network of cultural exchanges between the UK, Nordic countries and the Philippines. Founded in 2013 when the first Festival for Contemporary Dance and Performance Art was held at Dansehallerne, P- noise is now supported by Nordea Fonden, Centre of Culture and Development Denmark and National Commission for Culture and Arts Philippines.
